Re: Could a tribal war errupt? Have Your say!

Current situations in Uganda.

BLOODBATH
Some of the Banyoro leaders in a press confrence at Kampala Serena Hotel yesterday

- Security Chiefs Rush To Bunyoro As Banyoro Plan Tribal War

By Giles Muhame and Fred Junior

Intelligence reports last night indicated that Bunyoro is on the brink of a bloody tribal war.And security sources have revealed that the deputy External Security Organization (ESO) boss Emmy Alio and his counterpart in ISO Lt. Ronnie Balya have been camped in Bunyoro for most of the past four months after intelligence reports indicated that the Banyoro were secretly planning to pick up machetes and behead the Bakiga en masse.
The two high ranking security officials have since been compiling shocking reports for Museveni and it's on those dossiers that security and police have been heavily deployed in the area to avert catastrophe.

Lt. Balya who played a pivotal role in wiping out the rebel Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in Rwenzori Mountains is reported to have told the President that unless there is heavy troop deployment in the region, the country may wake up to the horrors of the 1994 Rwanda genocide in which the Hutus slaughtered over a million Tutsis in 100 days.

And should this happen, the two intelligence bosses reasoned, that will mark the end of Uganda's hopes of early drilling of oil in the region. "It's a scary situation. We are increasingly getting concerned because the Banyoro are determined to wipe out the Bakiga," said a high ranking security boss last night.Security top dogs now fear the worst. They are worried that heads could roll anytime.

WAR DRUMS
We can exclusively reveal that the flames of a possible tribal bloodbath were last night fanned after extremist Banyoro leaders organized a media briefing at Sheraton Hotel and sternly warned that they will not allow the Bakiga to dominate their kingdom's political positions.Led by Hajji Siraji Ndawula, the founder of Kitara Heritage Development Agency (KHEDA), the radical Banyoro leaders furiously charged that being under the leadership of the Bakiga 'reminds them of the darkest days of their history'.

"We want to co-exist with the immigrants, however, when they take leadership in Bunyoro it reminds us of our ugly history," roared Siraji.Burning with rage, Siraji said the Bakiga are shamelessly arrogant and are fond of taking Banyoro for granted."If we decide to say no, it will be no! These Bakiga think we are joking but we are very serious on this matter," Siraji fumed.

The tribal wars between the Bakiga and the Banyoro were reignited by Museveni's leaked in his July 15 letter to the minister for the presidency Beatrice Wabudeya in which he advised that all fatty political positions in the kingdom be 'ring-fenced' for the indigenous Banyoro.Museveni wrote: "Having thought about all this (tribal wars) for a long time, I am proposing the following principles to be part of the solutions: Ring-fencing the LC V positions in the whole of Bunyoro region for the indigenous people; and also ring-fencing the sub-county leadership except for the sub-counties around the Kisiita and Luteete areas. Ring-fencing the positions of Members of Parliament in the whole of Bunyoro region for the indigenous people, except for the special constituencies created around Luteete and Kisiita resettlement schemes."

BAKIGA FURY
The Bakiga reacted angrily, labeling Museveni's advice sectarian. They even went to State House, Entebbe and warned Museveni that his proposal could expose them to tribal violence, sectarianism and marginalization.
And indeed,a day after the meeting, suspected hard-line Banyoro arsonists descended on a timber factory belonging to a prominent Mukiga in Kyangwali Sub County on Sunday night and razed it to the ground.

MORE BUNYORO FIRE
Meanwhile, flanked by three other high ranking KHEDA officials, Siraji raised eye-brows when he noted that the Bakiga were accommodated when they came to the oil rich kingdom but are now misbehaving."We were very accommodative when these immigrants came to our kingdom. But they should stop somewhere. When you are a visitor, you do not get to the master bedroom. You keep in the sitting room," Siraji emphasized.
As if this is not worrying enough, KHEDA officials said they support Museveni's controversial proposals and are determined to do whatever it takes to implement them.

Law experts say 'ring-fencing' political positions in favour of the indigenous Banyoro is unconstitutional since the 1995 constitution guarantees Ugandans with rights to live wherever they want in the country, vote and contest for political power.

OMUKAMA WANTS BAKIGA EVICTED NOW!!
After all, matters were worsened by the Rukurato, the parliament of the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom which on Wednesday asked government to immediately evict all Bakiga immigrants from forest reserves. In a hair-raising statement released on Wednesday night that was signed by the kingdom Prime Minister Yabezi Kiiza, the Rukurato said it was concerned about the continued migration of Bakiga into the Bunyoro region.

It said: "Government should halt fur-ther influx of the Bakiga immigrants into Bunyoro and those settled in forest reserves be immediately evicted and relocated else where in the country." The statement titled,

"Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom cabinet position on the negative sentiments pertaining to the Banyoro-Bafuruki issue" comes amid renewed tensions between the Banyoro and Bakiga, particularly in Kibaale district.

The statement from the Rukurato contained a reaction to the statement by the Bakiga. It said the ideas and wording of the document were contemptuous, insulting, arrogant and misleading. The latest simmering tensions come just three years after the Omukama of Bunyoro-Kitara, Solomon Gafabusa Iguru pledged to reconcile the Banyoro and Bakiga in his kingdom.

In May 2006 the Omukama officially granted Bakiga stay in Bunyoro and awarded them a certificate of recognition. He thanked them for their contribution in developing Bunyoro at all levels and urged them to double their effort since their stay is now officially recognized by the kingdom.

Several Bakiga migrated to the Bunyoro region 20 years ago, settling in Kibaale district, under a government programme to decongest their native districts of Kabale, Kanungu and Rukungiri.
The relationship between the Banyoro and Bakiga has been quite acrimonious over the past few years, degenerating into full blown ethnic violence on occasion.

At Gun Point

As I was just exiting the campus gate going to church, a white golf stopped carrying two guys.

One in the passenger seat leaned over to ask me what the time was.  Pulling out my phone to tell him the time, he opened the door and there he pointed a gun right into my face.

"Come closer to me", he quietly and repeatedly commanded me.  I was holding a camera because it was a Youth Sunday and I knew there was going to be some dancing at Church so I had to take it.

This is the point when God came in as.  I handed over the phone; another car came from the same direction. This guy got scared and leaned unto the car hiding the gun behind him.

Having seen the car close enough, I decided to run as fast as I could.  Hey!! God made us special.   I never new that I could run that fast.  I now respect my legs more than ever.  They can take me along way.

Anyway, as I ran, I left the phone behind close to this guy's feet.  I could never bend to grab it. He would have kicked me at least, if not brave enough to shoot.    A few feet away still sprinting, my wallet fell.  Did I even dare pick it up??  Nope.  I just kept running till I turned somewhere secure.

Having monitored and known that the guys had gone, I returned.  Frightened and scared to death, and even sweating that early morning.  I've seen and heard the gunshot at my side, but never had it pointed to my face.

With thanks and a deep breath, I viewed my wallet from a far and ran to it. The phone was gone.

The most shocking of all, is that this is what I dreamt. Somebody shooting me and I actually shot back.

However, when I woke up, I told God I really don't want this to come to me ever in my life.

I now ask my self, wasn't my prayer strong enough? Naah, I realise now that God speaks to us in my different ways, and that it's up to us to carefully listen and ask him to help us understand what he is saying to us.

Be blessed as you TRUST in the Lord.

I'm ALIVE hurray!!

A Saved Moth

In one of my early morning showers, I encountered a situation. A moth. Fighting its way-out of the water that insisted on draining it into the hole.

I turned on the shower and there I saw a moth in the drain. With all its might, it flapped its wings fighting for life against the draining cold water. Gradually I saw it reduce the flaps and then it quit. Rushing through my mind, words like “Wow! Buddy, this is not the right time to quit!” I then realised the water had warmed up, so I ran to its rescue.

Like the moth, many of us try to run away from our help during critical moments with a natural thought that we might further more be endangered and hurt, the moth flapped harder as I moved closer and eventually ended up at the edge of the drainage hole. For a moment I froze.

Then with all the care, love and my wanting life for this poor creature, I unhurriedly bent down to save it from the edge of the hole. Anguish, pain and a sudden shiver flooded my body as it flapped twice and was swallowed by the hole.

It reminded me in life that we do have people who really and honestly want to care, Jesus being the ultimate example, but we somehow hurt them by fleeing from their love and care. Realistically, often we’ve hurt Jesus this way. One who is wanting and for a long time has been his ambition to give us eternal life to that point of being nailed on the cross for us.

If you thought the story had ended, you will be happy to know it still unravels.

Having stood frozen and looking down the hole, thinking of what has happened to the poor moth, I suddenly heard the simple flap sounds and the crescendo was unbelievable. Had I not been with quick reflexes, I would have had a mashed moth in my face. Well fair enough I would have been in its way. The creature really shot up. Ever seen a rocket on fire? Well, presumably, in films for most of us.

Taking a closer look into the hole, there was another drainage pipe pouring hotter water. It then came to mind that this poor thing encountered a harsher environment and situation so it decided to return to where I was. Not that I was nice for starting the shower!

This struck me in a way that for some several minutes, I forgot all about my showering. The poor moth landed on the edge of the hole and then, I saved it from going back in. It let me do it this time without struggling. And hey! My question to it was, “Why didn’t you let me do this for you in the beginning? Did you really have to go through all this?”

And again back to us, do we really have to wait until we encounter the hotter water in our lives so that we run to or back to Jesus? I know the second chance might mean a lot since we’ve experienced that hotter water, but let’s ask ourselves, what if we are not that lucky to return to the surface for the second chance?

Wouldn’t one regret that they hadn’t taken the first opportunity before the hotter water?

Amazing, I was right there waiting for this moth to come back. To my amusement, I never knew it would return but waited and had hoped that it might.

This is exactly how Jesus waits for us. The difference is that he gives eternal life and knows whether or not you will return. Hey! The first chance was free but was also ignored.

Should we then blame friends for not leading us to the first touch of Jesus? Hopefully not, because you have it right here and now. All you have to do is read out this prayer now:

Dear Jesus,

I really have sinned and do not want to miss your touch again.

Please forgive me.

I ask you Lord Jesus to come into my life right now. Change all that had failed me, write me in the book of life and restore me into your kingdom.

I accept you as Lord and savoir of my life.

Amen.

That is a decision you’ve made and will never ever have to make in your life again.

It’s done! The Angels were listening and Jesus right beside you, smiles. Imagine how happy you’ve made him!

Heaven has caught ablaze and a party has already been initiated for you.

Welcome to God’s Family.

Struggling with bringing Ur life together??????????

Struggling with bringing Ur life together??????????

“Put God in the centre and everything will come together” During my personal devotions this morning, I meditated on this and I visualised in my mind of the diverse ways one can capture birds. Not that you try it even if you’ve got many in your area. Well, it came to mind that the best way is to pour down some food (most probably grains) and they will all come flying down to eat. If it happens to birds, it does more to people.

Well, I then thought that if we have anything that we really want to capture for our lives, not to be self-centred though, we need God to be the food in the centre to attract all the other birds (stuff in life). It is as simple as that. We can do it but so let us not try harder means straying from the simple.

God bless you as you endeavour

Interesting World 2

Well I’m back.

Having talked of gay people and alike in the “Interesting World”, I have returned to further back it up.

If we carefully read the book of Deuteronomy 22:5 in the Bible, we happen to come across this “Women must not pretend to be men, and men must not pretend to be women. [a] The LORD your God is disgusted with people who do that.

Come on now! Let’s face it. God is never and will never be please with this act. You know what?? Are you a victim of this act or even have a friend who is one? Make the finest choice and email me at morris.kabuye@accsa.org.za or phone me on +27835414640 for advice of freeing your self.

Hey! It’s never too late for both you and me to change from bad to good. I do believe the person is good and it’s really the actions that are bad. They altogether make the person bad. We do love all people but always hate their but actions.

You and I together can eradicate this act by reaching out to those that are victims of it with out victimising them.

God bless

Morris

God is Able

God is Able

I hope I'm not the only one going throught certain trials in life. There are days when I feel like I'm in this world alone but then I remember that God is with me. To be realistic some times one doesn't feel like God is with him and from my research it actually happens but should we say that God lets go of us at certain poits in our lives? I don't think so at all. I believe he is beside you and me and he says that he will never ever leave us alone. One of the best ways I remember that he is with me is that he is always carrying me at such times when I don't feel like he is with me. When I feel that even the friends I trust have given up on me.

Well what do you believe? Whom do you trust ? And where do you put your life in case of a problem? Or In your free time? The other point I want to talk about is that people we usually think God is a body guard who is just there to guard. We always run to him in problems but we forget that even those times when we happen to smile, he wants to share with us.
Think about it. Think again and ask your self by who's grace are you living today and breathing right now? Now come on, be realistic to your self and leave alone what other friends say when you are with them. I've been there too but you are who you are when you are alone. That is when you are true to your self and God.

God bless

Interesting world

Its amazing how we all get to be in one world with all the differences between us. Though some may say but many share languages, yes this is true but how about the rest? The world is rapidly running into weired stuff like homesexuallity and gay. This is not the way life was meant to be otherwise God would have said to Adam i am going to create you a helper and instead of Eve, he would have created a man whose name i could never guess. Its so pathetic that some churches are allowing this and understading people do sit in church and listen as well as witnessing this unGodly act being born. What will our children live to see and get to live themselves if we they ought to look up to have done otherwise. And by the way do we even have an idea whether God is happy with this? YES. Absolutely. Read the Bible about sodom and gomora. He burnt down the whole city because of the unrighteousness of man. Is it hard for God to do this again? I think not. But again because of Jesus he won't. One has a free will in this world but does that mean we should misuse that? No!
I think we had better think again. We got the ability and the time is not yet. We can change the past and have a bright future.

BEFORE YOU GIVE UP

If you dare to read, dare not to stop till the end. The secret for the New Year lays in the text below

God has given me the chance to travel to so many parts of the world. Especially to the west though I have also been to some Asian countries. I have spent most of my life with African, Western and Eastern people. As a result I have come to understand that despite of our different origins and backgrounds, we all face problems to the max degree. Whether you got both parents, one of them like me or even none. Whether your family has a fancy car and house or nothing. It matters not whether poor or rich. We all are confronted with obstacles in life. The big issue here is not the problem or obstacles. The issue is how we go about them after they encounter us. The problems, hardships, situations will always boom in to check on us. How do we go about them? Is the big question. I always believe that when you give a positive attitude to life you will win yourself favor and will be free from all the stress. The attitude you bring to life will determine what you get from it. This will particularly suit students. Doesn't matter which classes. You all need it. I failed mathematics to my knees in my first two years of high school. After visiting a friend of mine who hang up a chat about attitude towards life in his room and I happened read it, I was quiet for a moment and for those who know me, you can imagine am not the kind. It amused me and left my heart and brains working hard. I thought all along he's been my friend and has not told me about this. I have been struggling with problems I could have solved long ago. All that was, was attitude. Now I leave his home and as I walked for about fifteen minutes, I realized I got the power through attitude to vanish problems and settle those that won't vanish.
As teenagers we usually get so frustrated with life and we think how in the world will I get to excel. We go on to say "Will I ever achieve anything?” Now this is the point where the negativity kicks in then we go " That’s it, I will never make it in life.” For your information your brain perceives everything you tell it so it will store every nonsense you tell it and everything will come back to you and guess what you will be stressed while’s you doubted yourself in the beginning. After the chat I read, I got to know that I hated maths because of my teacher but hey! Who looses out? Not my teacher! He already knows the stuff. I got to learn my weaknesses and worked on them. Now MATHS IS MY BEST SUBJECT big time. Its not me alone try it out. I’m sure I’m not talking to my self. If it has happened to me it has and its happening to many that have no ideas what’s going on in their lives. You got brilliant ideas and advice to friends you don't even know. Post them there are more than enough that are desperate for it.
I want to share this because I hate seeing and hearing others fall in holes I have fallen into before. I feel they should prepare and find it easy post to let others leap over the holes they have not fallen into.
